Credit: BehindNicsLens and UKFF<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>On Saturday afternoon, the teams opened the event with a back-and-forth contest, which saw France take a 2-0 lead in the 1st period before Rebecca Gmunder pulled a goal back towards the end of the period. A 3rd France goal was answered by an Emelie McLaren marker for GB, before a 3rd period of solid British pressure failed to yield the equalizing goal.
